Central Rivers AEA welcomes you to our first Assistive Technology Conference on Feb. 23rd, 2018. The conference will take place at 1521 Technology Parkway, Cedar Falls, IA 50613 from 8:00 AM to 3:10 PM. To register, go to https://my.aea267.k12.ia.us, Course #15705. Cost for the event is $40, this fee includes lunch.

Have you ever felt like you're simply 'putting out fires' when it comes to the provision of accessible technologies and materials? The days of using a squirt gun can be a not-so-distant memory. Join Rose Hays and Maggie Pickett with the Cedar Rapids Community School District set the 1:1 system a-BLAZE and reimagine a systemic implementation to the provision of accessible technologies and materials. This dynamic team will share their journey, to date, as well as the tools they used to HEAT up the process. They also hope to share future plans, as they relate to ensuring Access for All. Don't forget to bring your water and a fan—things are getting HOT!
